Why did
you choose to study on this programme?
- I love Storytelling became i grew up listening to people tell and read me stories. (because i am dyslexic and didn't learn to read until i was 12 years old), it’s a trait that is unique to humans. it’s what makes us different.
- The other university's I applied to had very cookie cutter animation demo/show reels. I am not a cookie cutter kind of person. I like things that are unique and break the boundary's. What i liked about LAU was the uniqueness of the styles presented in current and previous student work.
- I really like Leeds as a city, plus my brother has lived here 8 years, so i already have experience of Leeds and a support network in place if i run out of food or money or if i get lost
- LAU has an extensive list of alumni that have gone on to do brilliant things within the art industry. Being the ambitious type, i wish to join those ranks and all the staff are super nice and friendly.
- They say animators are actors only with pencils. Well i wanted to be an actor, but I'm a shy, awkward person. So i find drawing and animating those drawings a really fun and creative way to express myself without getting up on stage in front of an audience or in front of a camera.
